Welcome to the new year!

Technology plays an integral role in every discipline, and music is no exception. Regardless of major, technology has become a growing part of the field.

This course is designed to help you become more familar with the technological tools that may be useful to you both in your studies here at IC and in the professional world. The class iss structured in three basic units. At first, we will take a quick look at hardware and the internet, becoming more familar with how search engines work and how you will be able to find materials in the IC library and the web as a whole. Next, we will delve into audio materials. this will include a brief look at digital audio and some time spent with MIDI recording. Finally, we will spend time with music notation programs.
