Create a MIDI sequence in Cubase with the following components:
1. Create an Introduction, min. 4 measures in length
2. Record the melody, accompaniment, bassline, and percussion
track 1 (channel 1)- Melody - use a single line instrument (no keyboards)
track 2 (channel 2)- Accompaniment - use a multiple voice instrument
track 3 (channel 3)- Bass - use a single line instrument
track 4 (channel 10)- Percussion - use atleast three different percussive sounds
3. Create an improvisation or variation section, min
16 measures, related to the theme melodically or harmonically and in
the same style as the melody.
4. Create an ending, min. 4 measures in length
5. Arrange them into an Intro-Theme-Improv-Theme-Ending fashion (A-B-C-B-D)
6. This may be done using Cubase
7. Name your files xxxxxxxxSatinDoll.cpr and xxxxxxxxSatinDoll.mid
*Turn in the Cubase file (.cpr) and the exported type 1
MIDI file (.mid)*
OR
Create the recording in Reason
1. Use the same specifications as above for the structure of the recording.
2. Use a different synthesizer for each voice. You must use atleast one Subtractor Synth and one NN-19 Sampler as well as the Redrum synth (for the percussion track).
3. Your file should be named xxxxxxxxSatinDoll.rsn
